About TurfGal

Who is TurfGal?

TurfGal is Jodi Waits. I am a Certified Turf Manager and Landscape Designer and have been in the green industry in Lexington County, S.C. for over 22 years. I was the Owner/Operator of EarthScapes, SC as well as KBS Grounds Maintenance, but am  retired from the field now and available to help you identify and fix your lawn and garden issues. I am also a Certified Outside Applicator. Yeah OK, what’s that? Right? It means I am licensed to apply chemicals to correct all sorts of problems in both your turf and ornamental shrubbery beds. With that comes a lot of knowledge about fungus, disease, insects and how to fix, kill, and resolve the problems you are having. I am here to share my years of knowledge with you!

My team and I will be publishing articles geared toward the do-it-yourself-er, to help make your life, and managing your lawn and beds easier. I will also be offering e-books on a wide array of subject matter, including, but not limited to: Turf Management Basics, Introduction to Chemical Application, South Carolina’s Most Wanted Turf Pests, Building a Garden Pond,  Tree Pruning Basics, Common Turf Diseases of South Carolina, Warm Season Turf Weeds, Installing Low-Voltage Outdoor Lighting the Easy Way and much more!

I am looking forward to answering your questions, reading your blog entries, and helping you make your yard the “dream yard” you always wanted.

Be aware that all information on this site pertains to  Zones 8A and 8B.
